what is the actual rule on articles?
I ask because I work as the Corporate Intelligence Analyst for a very large corporation and I see press releases all day long and have many searches going for them as well across the internet. If I see an article can I post the article as long as I give a link to it as well? Or is it link only? |

this is mostly do to the HD-DVD fanboy post
by posting just a link you force some one to go to the page to find out what your talking about. doing so give there page a hit so you help them make cash i rather ppl sum up the post or copy it haveing a link is fine but dont force some one to go there to get the info and ya there so pro HD-DVD its not funny after all thy killed the 4 to 1 news as fud |

HighDefDigest tries to be neutral. They have done a much better job doing this than AVM$. But their editorial staff have openly admitted bias toward HD-DVD. Most mods are HD-DVD supporters even if some (most?) have gone neutral recently. They have also added the Amazon Sales Rank which are run by a HD-DVD fan. I have previously said that I think the reviewer Peter M. Bracke is a reviewer "For HD-DVD fans only". They admit Amir posting his BS in the HD-DVD forum there it's hard to argue against it without breaking the rules as it is outside of smackdown area (even if he speaks smack...). Amir has even admitted on AVMS that he feels more free at HDD:

I actually like their BD reviews..!..i check them before purchasing a particular BD movie...
And yes...i do know they are biased towards HD-DVD but still they do also report on BD news. am 100% sure not all of their editors are hd-dvd only...!..otherwise their site would had been hd-dvd exclusive.. |

don't they get paid by advertisements that are clicked on rather than simply how many hits they get? and didn't the hit tracking for ads just get changed as well, where they get paid by how much time people spend at the ads website and how many follow through? the days of hits = $$ are over. at least that's what I understood when I was trading some google shares.

They have a great review site, good coverage of high def news, a blu ray specific forum, and many blu ray backers in their smackdown forum. It's a fine site.

I know this brings up a moral question, but let's leave it as a simple suggestion. |

Huh, this poses an interesting quandary. I have a PC connected to my TV that I use to play Blu-Ray movies. But I think my computer does a better job of supporing blu than red as it has no HD-DVD drive.

I totally agree with the OP and avoid all links to that site. They definitely deserve to go off the air. That website has a biasness towards HD-DVD from day one. It is why I am here.
You can't prevent people from linking there even after the click for coinage system has been explained to them. That's why they have continued to be so biased. ...not gonna happen... ![]() |

It's not so much about helping/not helping the other side as just that (for better or worse) highdefdigest is a fairly popular review source. Unfortunately not all that many cater to high def media in the same sense.
Although personally find blu-ray reviews on dvdtalk to be more informative (although perhaps I just disagree with Bracke on a very large number of reviews, and he is the predominant author there). But then again dvdtalk's primary focus isn't high def media, like say highdefdigest. |
