Yeah, but still, nothing for Star Trek was shot on IMAX. I believe, so far, anything shot on IMAX for a movie has been left in the IMAX aspect ratio (in the theater) just for the 'wow' factor...

I think it's funny that people complain and moan about DNR being used on Blu-ray releases, but love watching movies in IMAX.. You wouldn't believe the amount of DNR and other processing IMAX has to do on any 35mm-shot film before they transfer it to IMAX. It would look horrible if they just used the straight 35mm footage. That's proof that DNR is a good thing, when it's used properly. (Unfortunately, there aren't many people that now how to use it properly apparently, and the ones that do charge more than the studios are willing to pay...)
