No idea if the release of Vol. 1 is the uncut version (doubtful). Unique feature for these versions is that they have 7.1 sound.

Japan was the only country to release the full color version of the film with the extended animated sequence on home video so if Pony is using the same materials as the ones used to create the DVD then it will be the full color uncut version.

Nice. If it's the colored version then I might consider getting these. I haven't bought the US release yet. Sortakinda waiting for the Whole Bloody Affair, but I'll enjoy these until then. There's no telling when QT is going to release Bloody Affair.

Well considering KB 3 is scheduled for a 2014 release it might be a LONG time before we get The Whole Bloody Affair.

No doubt. I didn't think about that. They'll probably want the releases to coincide with each other. Makes sense. I guess I'll probably end up getting these then.

Looking at the run time of 111 minutes I'd have to say it probably is not the Japanese version which runs about 113 min. That version wasn't just the big Crazy Eight's fight in color , it included a couple of additional scenes not in the North American release.
I do hope I'm wrong though

yes that is one of the scenes , one more might be a few extra seconds of O-ren's brain and a Crazy 8s head getting split wide open

Yes, I have used them before. Be aware, you need to make a separate account for the payment portal and you don't pay for shipping with the actual item. You need to check your account until they post a link for payment. It is a bit messy but they are legit.

IIRC, EMS was around $18-$20 and Regular Mail was like $10-$12 (this was for a single item).

That's a little wierd. Okay, then. I may or may not start using them. They have "A Tale of Legendary Libido" on blu on their site so that's why I was wondering if it was legit. I haven't heard anything about that coming out on blu anywhere so it was kind of wierd.

That "A Tale of Legendary Libido" is a legit Taiwan release. Yesasia is carrying it as well.

Also, Taiwan is a hard place to find out what is being released. It sort of just appears.

The uncut Japanese DVD release by Universal apparently indicates a 113 minute running time. So it looks like this is the theatrical.

Hopefully Universal brings it to Blu in Japan.

Thank God, Japan is the same Region code as the US now. They need to get off their asses in Japan and start releasing catalog titles.

I don't know anything about the site, other then some mixed reviews spread across some other sites, but it seems to be cheaper here.
