i just signed up today for the first time to get the 8 dollar coupon for monsters inc. but my question is whats with the points system? i put in the code and iy gives me points, exactly what can i do with the points? im guesing the more points i add the better but what is the purpose of the points?

Basically you can use the points for crappy Disney gifts. The actual point of being a DMR member is to get as many blu-ray coupons as possible.

Did you look at the merchandise you can get with the points?

It's kinda self-explanitory.

Yup...just log in and enter in your codes and it will keep track of them. Disney also gives you a free blu-ray on your birthday. I received mine in only 3 days so they ship it out fast. You just pay a handling fee of $3.

Go to the rewards section and "view all" and you'll see what you can get. Some of the rewards are pretty cheesy though. I'm @ 2600 points and can't find anything worth getting lol.

ok i see, do the prizes change every once in a blue moon or there always the same?

I didn't know that. My birthday is next week and I haven't been notified of anything like this. Should I be receiving an e-mail from them? (I'm now a 2475 points, not counting Up and Monsters, Inc., and there's NOTHING I want from their rewards selections!)

Yup! I was wondering how I'd get notified etc. My birthday was just a few weeks ago. You should get a notification email that day. You log in and give them your shipping/cc number and you're good to go. From what I remember they offer:

National Treasure
The Game Plan
Meet the Robinsons
Enchanted
? forgot the last one.

I e-mailed them about this because I didn't get any offer on my birthday and they said that it was a randomly selected promotion. Some people were just lucky. Not sure if it's still going on, but it's not something that every DMR member is being offered.

I e-mailed them about the birthday blu-ray because my birthday was in January and they just gave me 25 points and they told me that they started giving blus in June.. so I don't think its random,, I have to wait 2 more months to see if I get it

My birthday is in June and I did get the email on or the day before my birthday. They charge you for the shipping but who cares, I got Meet the Robinsons for $2.99

I got my email for the freef blu-ray on my birthday. As for the rewards, I got the Incredibles poster. Everything ships out really fast. I am 2100, but I need to add a few purchases.

My birthday was the end of October, I got an email that day for a free bluray plus 25 points, paid 2.95 shipping and got it 3 days later. Yes there are double point days. The last one was November 5 and there's suppose to be another one before January. They don't notify you about it, you just have to check the site for the day. You also can't add multiple codes for one title that's why I started another account.

Same with me. Mine was in Sept. too. I got nothing and I always read all the e-mails they send me just to make sure. I the beginning they were also randomly sending people the links for the coupons too. I never got any of those e-mails either. I have been a member since the program first started since I always buy the Disney movies.

Anyway, back to the rewards, they do offer some DVDs that are not available to purchase anywhere else except for the Disney DVD club and they do offer some of their Walt Disney Classics Collections sculptures, which are awesome. I believe the program is going to end some time next year though, but you never know, they may extend it.

Yeah, they got some graet deals on rare classics on DVD that only available through them, and the are FREE with the Rewards points, I've got such cool films as The Story Of Robin Hood, Kidnapped, The Legend of Lobo, Yellowstone Cubs, The Horse Without A Head, Treasure of Matacumbe, and just ordered a 2-DVD combo of Donald Duck in Mathmaticland and Duck Tales and the Lost Lamp on double points day. Most of these titles that I've mentioned many never see blu release, so I'm more than happy with the DVD's,.. and the coupons of course.

Coupons are def +1.

I also cashed in over 5,000 points this summer and got a handy little photo printer for our digital camera. Not bad.

I'm sitting on about 3600 points right now. My birthday isn't until December but they better not forget me. I been a member for over 2 years or so now.

My birthday was September and I got a free blu from them. Choose the game plan didn't like the other movies and I have already seen national treasure like about 100 times and wanted something new.

My birthday was in August and I got National Treasure on Blu-Ray for free.

I've been a DMR member since 2007 and am at 14,300 points. I've been saving up for the studio tour so I'm only 700 points away. Most of the bottom line rewards are pretty weak, but as you get more points, there's quite a lot of nice stuff. At one point in time, they even had HD TVs and Blu-Ray players as rewards.

Well this sucks!! Over the summer i didn't have home internet. So I wasn't really able to go on all the sites I normally frequent and do what i used to. Well I just noticed that my 3360 points expired in August. What up with that??!! Has anyone ever had that happen to them?
