There should be no way it's 65%.

The only way it would be that good for BluRay is if Warner fixed their distribution with We Are Marshall and it finally sold well last week.

Honestly it could be 55-45, that would be more realistic with big titles like Knocked Up and Next. There was just no real contenders to compete with those titles.

Underworld will sell more than knocked up. looked what troy did as a catalog title and underworld was more looked forward to. and Next is a joke not worth mentioning again. the distribution problem blu had will help more this week because smallville and we are marshall weren't available in stores until the following weekend. mostly smallville. comedies don't do well on high def, especially chick flick ones. blades of glory was a blockbuster and it only managed the #3 spot. and that had star power in ferrel. 67:33.

Next will be lucky to sell 1,000 copies. I like Nic Cage but Next makes Ghost Rider look like Gone With the Wind.

Well I hope all of you are right, I'm just thinking this was going to be a lot closer because of the lack of recent BR titles and the fact nothing (new release wise) released to compete with those titles.

It's funny, most think Transformers week will see the first time HD might take the overall sales while I think the opposite, BR should still hold a slight lead. Then most think BR is going to somehow pull 65%+ this week and I think the opposite. I'm glad I gave up Vegas a long time ago.

While I think TF might lean Blue, I think you're right on this week. HD-DVD has the stronger slate, and I don't think we're going to see numbers increase in BD's favor.

Next week should be a freaking blowout though.

So much for delayed Warner titles...

Is it possible to see a week-by-week comparison of 300 sales? I'm curious if they're fairly constant, slowly dropping, etc...

It seems that knocked up will end up in 1st place over all... But we should have at least 7 of the top 10 spots and probably a 61:39 advantage

There is no way Blu wins the transformers week. I will do my part by buying FF4-2, Underworld, Troy, Surfs Up, 28 Days/Weeks Later, and Babel all on that week. But I am 99% sure we lose that week .

My prediction is. The week of transformers will see a negative shift equal to the positive shift we receive the week of Fantastic 4. So currently we are at 63% in blu's favor. If we go up to 80% the week of FF4, expect a -17% decline to about 46% the week of transformers. Likewise if we go up to 85%, expect us to fall to about 41% the week of transformers.

I don't know if this has been posted before:

From the BDA CEATEC press conference:

300 has sold 220,000 units on BD

Total BD sales 2.5 million, expect to break 3 million in October.
