Well the shower didn't work.

So now I'm waiting again. I just hope this guy isn't on the delivery truck today.

I know what you mean, but I'm not sure I can forget about it. I've already pulled my old receiver out of the cabinet and labeled all the cables/wires that need it. Everything is a mess in the living room floor right now. I figured I might as well be ready when it gets here.

On a side note, I was looking in the manual on how to bi-amp with this receiver and it appears it's the opposite of the way Onkyo makes the connections. With the Onkyo you connected the woofers to the left/right connections of the receiver, and the tweeters to the surround back connections. With the Elite it looks like you connect the tweeters to the left/rights and the woofers get connected to the surround backs.

I've run the tracking number a couple of times today and it's not showing any update since yesterday. I was expecting it to say 'out for delivery'. However, I've had the exact same thing happen before and the item was delivered to me before they ever updated their site's information.

Ok I've made some progress. All connections are made, inputs are named, power is up and running, and I've run the Full Auto MCACC once and it set my speaker levels much lower than I expected. However since I changed the input using the remote control, I can no longer access the receiver's menu with the remote. The remote works just fine when I use the buttons on the receiver. Other remote functions are working though.

It looks like the pics are going to be a couple of hours yet. The wife is home from work and it's time to go get some dinner. However, I've made some decent progress I think. I'm getting my Harmony One set up to use with the SC-25, and I raised all my speaker levels up some. I kept them all relative to what they were set at before, except the center which I raised 2 extra dB.

Fireman does the blue light on the power button work? I ordered the VSX 23 the day after you your SC 25 and my light doesn't work. Should I send it back?

I'm not sure which blue light you're talking about. A light on the remote or on the receiver itself?

I have run into a problem I hope someone can help me with. I'm trying to get my original Nintendo working. I have video, but no audio. I've tried two different inputs on the receiver, as well as two different cables. To refresh everyone's memory, the original NES has a yellow composite out for video and a red composite out for audio. I'm open to suggestions on this one.

Update: I've tried four different inputs for the NES, and each time I've tried hooking the audio cable up to the red and white input and gotten nothing. When I turn the NES on or off the appropriate speaker makes like a popping sound. It's not too loud, but that tells me the receiver seems to know that there should be sound coming from that speaker, but nothing's happening. Also if I turn the volume up loud enough the appropriate speaker starts to make a sound like background noise.
