Default My new XBR10 up and running!!

K got a 52 inch sony XBR10. This tv is just amazing, everything from the design to the picture to how easy set up is. First i would like to talk about the design on how slim this thing is. Replacing my XBR4 made me feel that the xbr4 was ancient compared to this new slim xbr10. XBR10 is almost 4 times smaller then my old xbr4. Setup on this tv is cool fast and easy. Everything connects to the receiver it comes with and it sends a wireless signal to the tv. The only connection that plugs into the tv is the power cord. Other then the power cored everything is wireless.
The picture on this bravia is insane. So clear on hd channels and makes standard channels look alot better. Blu-ray is amazing on it, on my xbr4 i noticed it was slowing down response time would not be that fast. On this xbr10 everything is instant.

Im very happy that i bought this tv. Its pretty even when its off. Slim profile, awesome picture you cant beat this bad boy. I would definitely recommend this tv to anyone who is looking to buy a new tv you will not be disappointed.

Congrats! I am waiting a few months, I need a 40" inch Sony to replace the one in my basement. That is where I watch my Blu-Ray moives and play video games (X-Box 360 and PS3).

I will bring the 40" KDL-40XBR4 up to the front room on the first floor and the new Sony toy will be in the basement... cannot wait for a good sale at Best Buy that offers a free Sony Blu-Ray player or PS3.

Congrats on your new display!

You mentioned it comes with a receiver? and everything except the power cord is wireless? Any chance on putting up some pics? Maybe a few screen shots...

You say it communicates with out wires. Bluetooth? Or something else?
Any chance half way through a movie your display will fail to get the signal and your movie freeze for a few seconds? (having horrible thoughts of satellite tv).

It sounds great! I'm actually in the market for a 52" XBR but I haven't researched enough to decide between XBR8, 9 or 10.

I am always worried about the signal dropping out occasionally being wireless, have you had any problems with that yet? Also, does it give you a wired option to run from the box to the TV if you don't want to do wireless?

There is no 'wired' option at all. The wireless signal at my local Sony Style runs flawless with satellite and the blu ray they had playing. They told me even with their wi fi networks, radios, bluetooth sets and cell phones around the transmitter it never fails or stutters.

Lack of wired option makes no sense to me at all.

I'm all about no wires, but I think I need the option there to make me feel more comfortable...

Wireless is good and all but what if something happens to that wireless transmitter/receiver thing. Just wondering how much it is going to set you back to replace? That is what concerns me the most about no wired option.

I like it but it kinda takes me back to the tv dvd combo days. When the dvd broke you have no dvd player....so I guess when the that wireless device for this tv breaks down you out of a tv until you get it fixed. Nice side-lit LED backlighting btw.

I'm trying to decide the same thing. I don't want to shell out double for a 10 though. Isn't a 9 prolly just as good.

BTW I have the original SXRD XRB1.
