so angry right now. some aspects to this game are just borderline cruel. lol

I'm on the part on Hades challenge (I think) where I have to walk along those balancing beams with the bladed pieces swinging around. My depth perception isn't all that great to begin with so these types of aspects to games have always given me problems.

I had trouble there too until I figured out you can double jump over the blades. Makes it soo much easier, I was trying to move quick/grab the ledge at the right time.

I hear somewhere there's a bootleg copy of God of War 1.5 around somewhere.

It's an alternate version where Kratos has to lug Pandora's Box all the way back to the part where he first reaches Athens.

I hear it's a 3,500 hour game.

Question: Just beat God of War 1 with four trophies remaining before I get the 5th (platinum) trophy.

One of which is the Max all weapons out. Now I beat the game but I maxed every weapon out except for the Blade of Artemis.

Is there the option of starting a new game with all the weapons and magic and whatnot on the same or lower skill level?

I couldn't figure out how to do that, and I coulda sworn someone said you could.

I raised that question earlier. In the original GoW on PS2, there was a trick / glitch to get infinite red orbs. I don't know if they fixed the glitch on this version. But I know for sure you cannot get enough orbs on a single playthough the conventional way. The game only gives you about 90% of the total you need to max out. I suggest going to gamefaqs.com (I would supply the link, but my work PC won't let me access that site ). Look up GoW 1 and go into the tips / tricks section. It will tell you where to find the infinite red orbs glitch. Try it and see if it unlocks that trophy for you.

Someone else had the same problem with the Boss Battle 3 trophy in god of war 2. Looks like it wasnt just me. Sony will need to do a patch to fix it. I am 81% done with the GOW2 trophys and wanted to do another play through to platinum it, but since the trophy is glitched, no point in doing so.

Has anyone noticed 'Loading' screens popping up a bit more frequently than when having played the PS2 versions? I'm playing GoW...now on the "Road to Athens," and twice the came has paused on me for a couple seconds to load data. I wasn't doing some crazy backtracking either, just progressing through the game normally when it happened.

It popped up once for me. Not sure what it could be except maybe the code hangs once in awhile and the "loading" pulse could be just a cover. I don't think it's actually loading anything I think it's just a hangup or something...


Of course, I didn't code the game and merely expressing wild speculation that may or may not be entirely false

You have to max all weapons AND magic. And as someone said, there is a glitch. I haven't tried personally but read about a lot of people doing it and it still works in the PS3 version.

Wait, so they set up a trophy for maxing all weapons out,. and yet they don't give you enough red orbs to do so, and the only way to get the trophy is through a "Glitch"?

You can't do it in one play-through. You can do it without cheating.

Apparently, I'm almost done the game and am nowhere near upgrading everything. I maxed the blades and Poseidon power. So definitely fell way short. Good news is the glitch looks quite easy to do.

No. On normal or easy its completely possible to max out everything.
Not sure if you can on hard or very hard.

Im pretty sure on easy or normal you have hundreds and hundreds of extra orbs left over after maxing everything.

You do know there are tons of hidden red orb chests right? And finding both muse keys gets you atleast a couple thousand extra orbs.

I'm on easy, I open all treasures and I used the muse keys but I'm still nowhere near the amount. the muse key gives you about 5,000 orbs (generously), the 2nd level of the Artemis blade is 9,000 orbs and there are 4 levels. Chests usually give less than 300 orbs and *some* give maybe up to 600.
