Gaumont is probably the most English friendly of all the French studios.
you must be thinking of Tfi.
they are very English UN-friendly.
I have "mr73" and "Chrysalis" and they both have English subs.
"36 Quai des Orfevres" also has English subs.
they have many other bds that are region free as well as having English subs.

the bresson film is "A Man Escaped" from 1956.
the melville is "The Silence of the Sea" (1949).
(that film is an sd Masters of Cinema Eureka UK title also)
The Rosellini film is "General della Rovere" (1959)
The clement film is "The Damned" (1947)
"Danton"(1983) is a Criterion Collection sd here--

Would love to see that one in 1080p; it'd be a major upgrade from the version included in my Herzog/Kinski dvd set from Anchor Bay. Of course, I want to see ALL of Herzog's early classics in 1080p...

I'm finding that French vendors tend to get release info on catalog titles very late in the game, so I wouldn't get concerned until October.
