This may be of interest to those who live in Gurgaon, Delhi or the NCR.
There is a Blu-Ray Discs & PS3 Games rental library in Gurgaon that opened seven months ago and they have approx. 350 movies on Blu-Ray and approx. 100 PS3 games for rent. They regularly keep adding at an average 20 titles per month. I have been using their services from almost when they started and their service is excellent. In case you are interested, the contact info is: YEN Blu-Ray/DVD & PS3 Games rental library Location: (Opposite Regency Park 2, near Galleria Market) Chakarpur, DLF Phase IV, Gurgaon Library # +91 93-134-18038 (Contact: Jeeva) Email ID: yenvideo@gmail.com Contact Person: Dimple Cellphone # +91 97-111-11038 PS: I personally have no commercial interest in this rental library. The 'Moviemart' collection of BDs is not only very small, but it is also very outdated, with mostly catalog titles only. Their addition of new movies is limited to only those that our released in India, which by the way is not even 50% of the films released by Hollywood. Also, they will never carry any BD titles that have any scenes cut by Indian censors, since BDs are not manufactured specifically for the Indian market. Bottom line is, that not only does YEN Blu-ray library have a better collection, but they also have, much more flexible price plans, that are substantially cheaper, specially for those who watch a lot of movies. But I guess, whatever rocks your boat. If Moviemart fills your needs, then that's all that matters.

India is 'Region C', so why would you want a 'Region B' player? If anything, you should be looking to get a 'Region A' player since if you notice there are more 'Region A' BDs than 'Region C' BDs. I can help you in getting a 'Region A' player, in case you are interested in one. |

I've been renting blu's from them for 2 months now. Their service is very good. Same day delivery (for Gurgaon residents anyway..no idea about Del). New BD's released in America reach here after a month or 2 (usually). They still haven't got some, like LOTR or Sherlock Holmes, and from what they told me, they aren't planning on getting LOTR. So, they'll get a lot of new blu's, but not all.
All in all, def. worth it. @sanjay Do you live in Gurgaon ? Last edited by dgtl887; 04-29-2010 at 09:05 AM. |

As for 'LOTR', they will definately be getting it. They are just waiting for 'BIG HV' to release it in the Indian market. Wish 'BIG HV' was more pro-active in releasing titles in India. Buying 'ALL' catalog title releases is just not economically viable for them. Even the very major titles have only a very limited appeal amongst members. Thus, prudent business reasons require them to be selective in buying catalog titles on Blu-ray. |
