My limitation is space. My center speaker sits in front of my TV on top of a TV stand. The new speaker can't be much more than 5 inches high or it will block the TV screen. The stand is new so I can't change it.

Any suggestions? I'm only looking at a center speaker.

By the way, I'm using a sony blu-ray player, sony TV and the Pioneer VSX-919. Other than the center speaker everything else is fine for me.
What kind of fronts do you have? Really, if they are 50's, 60's or 70's from Polk, you should get the CS series for a center channel. You want your center channel to timber match the fronts, and the CS1, 10, 2 or 20 all do this, however they are all rather large in height, as none are less than 7 inches high. Therefore, assuming the TV is resting on it's base, is it possible you could raise the TV up 2-3 inches to allow for one of these center speakers to fit in front of the TV? In this scenario, raising the TV by putting something under it, seems to be the best option. You will want to make sure you rest the TV on something very solid that can support the TV's weight of course, but others have done this with success.
