Here's a picture of the AVR-1610 right off the Denon website. No 5 channel pre-outs at all.
![]() Where you're getting confused is down on the left side, near the bottom, it has the sub pre-out, and a pair of pre-outs for either the front height channels, or rear surrounds. Which you would need to add a separate amp for. Either way, there's no pre-outs for the initial 5 channels. So if the OP finds that pre-outs are a necessary part of his system for future-proofing, the Denon AVR-1610 is not the one to have. Last edited by Zman2k2; 11-23-2009 at 10:14 PM. |
