the color of your bars are grey because it burns brighter than black. Black is as close to the lowest burn on a plasma which woudl increase you burn in problem. So thats why they use grey, it does not remove the problem but helps reduce. burn in is caused by other pixels near by not burning as hot or bright as the others around it ie: a sidebar. hope this helps you.
