Any ideas if this will be Region Free or forced subs? If not, might have to settle for Futureshop version.

This is the coolest looking steel for Basterds.

I've never dealt with Amazon.fr before. Just wondering what peoples experience has been with shipping. Packed well? And any idea what shipping to the US would cost? Thanks in advance.

If going by Universal's records, I'd say it'll be region free and include subs, but not forced.

Sorry if this was already addressed but isn't this a sleeve like the UK one and not a steelbook?

I am not familiar with amazon.fr but it does not say "steelbook" as far as I can tell and the second image looks like a regular Blu-ray case.

So would this be a "sleeve" like the UK and AU?

Well it's kinda confirmed by Universal, so the French one's your best bet.

Third is the Amaray posted on Amazon.de. The German Steel has a big blue FSK logo on it.

The UK version won't be a SteelBook.

Specs updated on Resetmag:

Pretty much the same as the US edition with English DTS HD MA 5.1 and numerous subtitles (they just name the French ones but they say that there will be a lot of them).

As this is the Universal edition we can hope that it will be region free.

Special features: cut scenes, alternative scenes, roundtable with Quentin Tarantino, Brad Pitt, conversation with Rod Taylor, making-of of the movie inside the movie ("the Proud of the nation") and to finish "Tarantino's shared camera".

I don't know how this is settling... sure it's not as nice as what could have been with the UK one, but that no longer exists...at least this is a SteelBook.
