Love Malick's work. Just wish they would release his films on BD,The Thin Red Line I can watch over and over again.

Paul Thomas Anderson's "Hard Eight", although he did two shorts before this, Hard Eight is his first full feature. One of my favorite scenes in a film is when John C Reiley is leaning up against the wall and his lighter ignites in his pocket. Also I'm a huge fan of Philip Hoffman and Anderson has put him in I think all of his movies.

Agreed on Malick and P.T.A. I don't remember Hoffman being in Hard Eight or Punch Drunk Love and i know he's not in There Will Be Blood, but it does seem he put Hoffman on the map, so to speak.
