I can imagine! I'm still in awe by GOW 1!

i can see that, the scenery at parts is a lot more open and bright, the first game takes place mainly inside or at night outside and there isnt a lot to improve colorwise

Understandable, but the PSP game--as good as it is for a handheld title--doesn't really measure up to the PS2 games IMO. Also, Sony still has PSPs to sell

I also think they use a few more filters and other lighting effects in GoW2...which just make for a richer atmosphere, generally.

Well, at least its good to know that it'll actually be coming soon to Europe, unlike some games (eg. Demon's Souls).

Has anyone bought this yet? ... whats the picture quality like? it says:

"Remastered in high-definition at a resolution of 720p and including anti-aliased graphics for 60 frames per second gameplay"

but how good does it really look?

Okay.... I just beat GOW 1 on normal. It was my first time playing it and there's one thing that caught me off guard.... THIS GAME IS FREAKIN HARD I normally play games like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry, and on normal those games are kind of a challenge, but I get thru them with ease. This game had me damn near crying at some parts (blades anyone???). I didn't expect this going in. Pandora's box was a pain in the arse with all the puzzles and the last boss battle.... my goodnes I must've died like 20x's before finally beating him. I'm scared to even try this game on god level. But I must admit that this game is amazing and I can't believe it came out on PS2. It's more exciting than most next gen games. Now I can't wait to get into GOW2 later today.

yeah. the puzzles dont change depending on the diffuiculty, only the enemies, so there are parts that are pretty challenging no matter what difficulty you play on, but the only battle that really got me was the final part of the final battle when you have the huge sword, i beat it on god mode back on the ps2, but i have no idea how, because it took me a good 10-20 tries on normal this time around

gow2 is fantastic too, i forgot how awesome that game was until i started playing again, enjoy it!

did you fall short on your first playthrough? an easy fix is to use the harpie glitch if you know how to do that

What the hell are you talking about? I had no problem against the final boss when I first played the game on normal. Did you ever think about blocking or evading with the right analog stick?

on that last part of the battle, it seemed at first like i couldnt block any of his attacks at all, i finally got the patterns down, and then it was fairly easy

First off..... what's your problem with this rudeness. Are you gods gift to gaming that everything is easy to you. Secondly I did block. I basically blocked the entire fight until I had a chance to counter. But he would always catch me with that orange magic he throws and it would take my guard down, then he threw those spikes. He spammed that for most of the fight. I held the block button down but it was useless when he did that move.

Even Jono said it took him 10-20x's on normal and he played the game b4 on PS2. This was my first time... sue me.
