I really liked this film. Too bad second one was bearly watchable. I'm going to get this film, but ONLY when its $10 or less. Still waiting for Van Helsing and Glory to be $10 or less somewhere.

hell yeah... we picked this up Saturday!!!! was fun to watch it over again on the blu format..

it was 19.99 at best buy.

we enjoyed the updated picture & sound quality for sure...

Mine arrived from Amazon and I sampled some scenes. Good job, Sony. Solid transfer. Not the best or reference, but certainly a very strong one. The DTS-HDMA track is wonderful. Horner's score sounds vibrant and alive like never before and the whole sound is just excellent.

No DNR I take it? Thankfully Sony avoids such things but I'd like to make sure before purchasing.

Doubt it (that there is DNR), but I can't be sure either.

I noticed quite a bit of fine grain producing a nice film like transfer. I didn't see any DNR.

Got mine and watched it last night. As stated above not a showcase title but I think that it is more to the way it was originally filmed. Textures and details are nicely visible; a definate upgrade from the DVD.

This is a fun movie to watch and the low cost Blu-ray is worth it.

I don't remember it as vividly anymore, but I loved the way it looked at the cinema in like '98.
Which would be about 10 years ago plus me being 22 now, so go figure.
And it wasn't even such a high-end cinema, but great Zorro-film indeed.
Can't wait to see it again. And the second for whatever it is.

Oh, by the way, I guess the second stayed the same transfer? As it's sold in a set with the first...

Well, they both seem almost top-notch, I'm glad.
Just too bad about "The Mask..." that the extra material seems to be on the thin side.
But... myeah, I guess not too bad, there's at least about an hour there, excluding the Commentary.

And a bit spammed with Trailers for other releases I guess.
Which I'm... never really crazy about unless it's for something related, like a sequel or something.
Otherwise they just seem like ads, which they actually are, but not that you have to look at them...
I do kind of like a good variation of trailers for the film itself.
I even use those to kind of see if I want to see the film or get me psyched up the day before or something. XD

They state the video quality is gorgeous. I got the DVD a while back at the $5 Walmart bin and I was very disappointed with the overall PQ. I've seen Sony put better looking discs out there than that one.

Anyone picked up the BD and would like to share their comments on how it looks and sounds. Thanks
