That or he has incredibly poor vision, as FF:ROSS, as someone else said, is one of the better looking titles out there.

I think the biggest problem is that these people don't pay attention to anything but the big heads on screen.

The planets in the title sequences... looked quite 3-D. They really popped out.

FF2 on a s300 here with 2.6 fw. Sure it take nearly 3 min to load, but once loaded plays flawlessly.

Watched it a couple of nights ago, my boys could only say WOW. They thought it looked better on the home screen than in the theater.

If you have a DVD player hooked up to the same HDTV, tell him to rent FF4 on DVD and bring it over to compare. People won't know what they're missing until you smack them on their heads with it.

people need to compare, i watched tmnt and it was great, and then i watched the sd version that my mother in law bought for my son, the difference was like night and day. start watching blu, and then go back and watch some sd, just bring a trash can so you can thow up in it

Video:

"Based on the specs for the first four Blu-ray’s we’ve received since Fox’s return to high def, the studio has upped their bitrates, more in line with Sony and Disney from what they were doing before their high def hiatus. This one’s listed as averaging 27mbps on the box. Though, when we clocked portions using the PS3, it rarely dropped below 30.

Audio:

". I would strongly recommend the lossless DTS MA track instead though, even if DD was the full 640kbps. We’re still waiting for an equipment upgrade to be able to finally take full advantage of DTS’s lossless compression. Hopefully, it’ll be soon. But even the 1.5mbs DTS core offered a sonic experience that elicited much excitement. It was almost profoundly engaging. If the core sounds this good, I can’t wait to finally get the full affect from MA."

Extras:

"Typical of java enabled titles, loading the disc and interactive features was slow on the Panasonic and may prove to be on some other players as well. But once loaded, everything worked without a hitch. The PS3 was still lighting fast getting the disc up and running as usual.
