Another Playstation 3 model?

What wrong? Sony can't make up their mind?

I'm all for PS3, but how many models do they need to make?

They already have/had the 20GB, 40GB, 60GB, and the 80GB.

Instead of making more models, Sony should focus on making more games now.

I already have a PS3 and I wouldn't mind a few extra games to play.

I see no problem with different models, ie memory capacity.

Well, that's what we have software developers for... Sony can do what they want, there should be PS3 for everyone! For the Noob (current 40 gig), the PS2 adopter (Full BC), and the Movie Enthusist (the rumored 160). As long as they don't take away or add anything drastic that will screw early adopters, i'm all for change.

Why would HD Satellite Receivers need two HDMI ports? It allows for simultaneous use of the system on 2 screens. I remember watching some video presentation prior to the release of PS3 that said PS3 hardware could handle processing something like 1000 simultaneous HD video and audio feeds at full resolution. At the same time, they also mentioned that there would be a possibility that, using 2 HD Widescreen TVs, you could broaden your perspective for the gaming experience. Put 2 HD TVs side-by-side and all of a sudden your peripheral vision in an FPS has increased to 180 degrees!

How does that sound?

Look at the Xbox360. It has many skus and it's doing well. IMO they dropped the ball by not putting a hard drive on the core model.

Well the other use of two HDMI ports may be to enable games like RFOM to be played on two screens in co-op. That would be much funner.

16:9 x 2 = 32:9. Deci, what's that? Cinemascope?

Following the pattern the next PS3 model should be 100GB.

To me, it sounds like someone just said the originally announced PS3 is coming out but with a 160gb hdd. When the PS3 was first shown, it had 2 HDMI ports, 6 usb ports (4 on the front, 2 on the back) and 3 gigabit ethernet ports ( 1 in, 2 outs.)

To me it sounds like overkill. The only thing I would have liked from this is the extra two USB ports on the back just so I could have stuff plugged in with out the wires hanging out the front. If Sony is making a media server version of the PS3, cool. But I would think they would co with a larger HDD if possible.
