if youve got magic, poseiden's rage takes care of the gorgons quite nicely, especially if youve upgraded it!

If it's any consolation, the gorgons are MUCH easier in GoW II.

I often just burn the "Rage" power (L3 + R3) if several of them show up. Getting frozen sucks.

Pretty sure my analog stick has taken more abuse wiggling out of a stone freeze than when I first started flying in warhawk.

I use the rage when I'm close to dying, but I'm kind of a tight wad with my rage . I only like to use it on the really hard parts. I guess it comes from playing Ninja Gaiden too much. You don't really get too much Ninpo in Gaiden 2, so you gotta use it wisely. I should use the rage more in GOW though, because there's blue orbs all over the place.

no problem, yeah, there are plenty of opportunities for blue orbs, and if you use poseidens rage on the gorgons and dont totally kill them, but you have the quick button sequence available, you can pull their heads off and get blue orbs from doing that too

Don't forget that rage mode gives you unlimited magic.. don't hesitate to rock the army of hades while raging - you will absolutely devestate everything.

played again last night, i had saved the game after the hydra battle and played through to where the chick falls from the balcony and u've got to get the key off of her body.

i told myself i'd only play to the next save point, i ended up playing through 3 or 4!!!

got some more trophies too....

for anyone that remembers b/c i can't, there's a ledge in the court yard that has like 3-4 chests but i can't remember how to get up there!!!

the ledge is on your right after you go across the beam, there's a save point right there too but u can't just jump across if i remember right.

thats what the game does to you, "oh, just a few more minutes" then its two hours later and youre still playing

yeah, thats kind of tricky, you have to jump away from the ledge and a little to the left towards the chests, then turn around so that you grab the legde you just jumped off of, shimmy over and jump into the alcove with the chests

i think this is the only part of the game that i never got in the ps2 version.

I am loving this collections. I've played both GOW games before, but its been several years since part 1....so in some ways I am enjoying this like the first time.

The updated HD look is fantastic ....it does bug when the game cuts to the ingame scenes that have not all been reworked.....really jarring....

Have they ever officially commented on why they didnt redo those parts? I assume time/money are the reasons, but it would be interesting to hear the official take...

It would have been nice, certainly. But in order to do it properly they probably would have had to pull people from Santa Monica away from GoW III development to try to recreate those scenes. Hopefully if the lusted-for Team ICO games are remastered in the future, a solution can be found to maintain video quality across the board.

Well to be more precise, I'm in the room after you pull those 2 levers in the saw room with the saws going from one side to the next vertically and horizontally. And the room I'm in has one lever in front of a statue holding a ball that I can't pull because it's broken or something.

[Show spoiler]You know the previous room you were in with all the saws going? Well there are a couple of pads that you have to step on. Be careful though, they are timed to close until you get through. Then the lever is yours.
