The Wii is selling much faster than both the 360 and PS3. Total sales for the Wii console have already passed the Xbox 360 install base and it took less than 1 year.

Edit: I think Nintendo has found the perfect supply/demand ratio and will continue with that curve. Why spend all that money ramping up manufacturing when doing so could jeopardize perceived demand?
