A bit grainy compared to newer movies...but from what I understand, the majority of the film stock used in the 70s had that kind of grain.

I thought it looked incredible, though. It was a really great disc.

Picture was GREAT!! Sound could have used come reinforcement in the center channel with dialogue, but the overall improvement with the sound and picture was amazing!!!

Grain? What grain? This movie was a pristine grain free, BD gem! You might want to try adjusting your rabbit ears a bit.

Wow is right.

Anyone who says this isn't a great transfer needs to:

1. Remember that this is a 1978 low-budget film (made on $300k).

2. Look at the original trailer included.

I watched this last night and it was great. I liked the option to listen to the movie in the original MONO presentation. That was funny.

Hopefully the rest of the series will come to BLU.

Halloween was one of the best transfers of a catalogue release I have seen. unbeleivable.

I couldn't believe how clear it was. even the darker scenes showed up perfect.

watched this on the 31st. VERY IMPRESSED. Very detailed, and the colors looked great to me. I used the mono track for the old school feel and it sounded great. Anchor Bay was the main reason I bought into Blu-ray (for the second time) and this disc did not disappoint. I can say the same for Dawn of the Dead. EXTREMELY HAPPY!
