Default After stunning transfers of FOX movies lately, 28 Weeks Later 5/5 for PQ and SQ

link:

http://www.hometheaterspot.com/fusio...hp?tid/138846/

video:

"37mbps average seems amazing to me and a real surprise considering how content Fox appeared to be with lower bit budgets prior to their high def hiatus. I’m glad to see the change, as bandwidth is one the things that sets BD apart. It’s great to see it utilized more fully."

Audio:
"Those viewing in apartments or late at night may want to activate dynamic range control, as this one has a powerful dynamic. The music and effects can be deafening and just as quickly, dead quiet. I would expect some manner of improvement to articulation and tonal clarity with unlocked DTS Master Audio. But, the room for improvement left by the core DTS due to current lack of decoding, was almost completely forgotten by an overwhelmingly powerful sound design"

Another outstanding and higher bit rate codec as Fantastic Four and Day After Tomorrow .

Thanks Chad for the Great Reviews of these titles.

Enjoy IT and Welcome Back FOX

Yeah,

I have a handfull of Fox titles (Transporter 1 and 2, Ice Age 2, FF:RoSS and a few others) and the quality is always tops.

I don't blame them for asking for a few dollars more,.. these discs are the best consistantly.

-Brian

p.s. The cheapest place I've seen that carries Fox Blu Ray is Bj's.

I am very pleased to hear that the excellent PQ on F42 was part of a larger pattern for Fox.

Fox seem to have it nailed. The wait for these titles was well worth it. PQ is impeccable and there is no reason why Fox can't maintain this standard. They have figured out how to do simply brilliant transfers on Blu-ray.

Each one of these high-bitrate AVC encodes on a BD50 is another showing-up of HD-DVD.

Hopefully, outstanding PQ from Fox will help show how poor things like Troy look.

Seriously, if this comes out, I'm getting it regardless of the price.

I Agree 100%. Warner are not consistent with the quality of there release. But the worst so far is Sony's Dracula

Sony's BD PQ is ordinarily very good, in my opinion. The recent Underworld is outstanding, for example, as is the remastered Fifth Element.

I don't want to get into the Dracula issue.

Find with me. I agree that Sony titles are in the best transfer on the Market. I just wanted to highlight that particular title. I owned myself many Sony titles : Underworld 1-2, Casino Royal etc... I have nothing to complaint about those

I bought FF2 yesterday. I agree that this transfert is outstanding. (Even my wife tought so)

Night at the Museum looks fantastic.

It's not a great movie but the scenes in Central Park etc are spectacular.

Both movies (28 Days, 28 Weeks) are due to come in to my hands tomorrow. I hope they work in my Samsung 1000. Well, in all honestly I'm hoping they don't, 'cause that'll give me a reason to get the Panasonic player I've been secretly dreaming about.

True. Fox could chard $50 for that title, I would still take the plunge.
