Lol Good lord, that thing is frappin' Massive! I see you just have the One Sub for the whole room; is it That incredible of a performer that you only need the One sub with the other woofers in your fronts, or do you plan on adding another down the line? It's prob. enough considering all that I've seen for your gear, plus the SIZE Alone of it makes me think it kicks Major LFE Butt with ANYthing thrown at it. Lastly, I didn't see any pics of your Rears (for the 7.1) until the one shot of your Projector & I could see one angled downwards behind it.

Again, Outstanding Job dude - Have you christened it with STAR TREK or another movie to test out everything? If so, how does it all sound & look after all your hard work? One last thing: do you have a spare guest room...
Thanks Aerodude,

The red chairs did turn out pretty nice. The red really "pops" with all of the black now.

The screen was pretty much the reason for the re model. My original screen was 106", when I upgraded to the 127" the color of the room made the image wash out a little bit. Not a problem anymore!

The Sub is a Paradigm Servo 15, plus the front L/R speakers are rated down to 28hz. So bass isn't a problem in the room. 400 RMS/ 1200 peak watts. So typically bass isn't a problem.

The rears blend in with the paint really well. They are above the couch angled down to the seating area.

The first movie watched in the new room was the new Star Trek. The room sounds really, really good. Having the speakers up off of the floor and behind the screen adds to the experience.

So far, I am very happy.

I'm curious: Your info on the HT page says "Seymour AV 2.37 anamorphic screen 49" x 117", but above you show it as 127", so I assume it is & should read 127", correct? As for the sub, question asked & answered! Wow, fronts down to 28hz Glad to see you were able to inaugurate a Great HT Room with a Great Bluray like "STAR TREK". I'm Sure the speakers Raised def. adds to the Audio with the them "floating" if you will, above the Floor & away from any "possible" sub vibrations. It's one of the reasons I, and many others I believe, Raise our Fronts off the floor with little mini-risers. Of course, that's just my opinion; I could be wrong...

Well, after the re model, I couldn't control my equipment with my Harmony 1000 remote. The two racks are far enough apart that they have no "line of sight" to work all of the components at once.

Today I installed a Rf extender and I am back in business. It works like a charm. Now I have to pick one up for my projector!

That is some work I could have never imagined. I also know that the pictures you have shown do not give your HT justice.

I was looking at your screen and it seems that it is blocking your front stage. It seems as If you are blocking the sound and the beauty of the speakers.

actually if you have a projecter and screen you are suposed to place the front soundstage behind the screen to better the illiusion that the sound is coming from the picture. also the screen has to be made of a special fabric that dosent affect the sound waves, which most consumer screens are.

I need a new camera. The colors of the walls just don't look right in the pictures.

The screen is an audio transparent screen from Seymour AV. So it is designed to place the speakers behind it for a more "movie theater" experience.

Here is a link that goes into it a little more,

I like it. There isn't anything about your setup I don't like and you just keep making it better.

Thanks Sean and Lou,

I had all of my cd's (about 500) sitting in a drawer in my bedroom. They were not very accessible. The front right hand side of the room looked a little "bare" so I thought this would fit in nicely. I don't know how well its made, but it will hold all of my cd's and then some!

I have two black end tables on order that will go on either side of the front theater chairs. They should be in this week.

Hahahaha, that is Great. Kind of like he is Guarding that area; Daring anyone to come over & remove an item. Excellent decision to bring him Back HOME where he belongs.

I had him on the right side of the room but for the life of me, when I would see him it would freak me out!

So I had to move him out of my peripheral vision.

Very Carefully

Yes it is on a very balanced mannequin, which is a little tall for a stormtrooper.
