I disagree with the whole topic, and 2001 is a good example why.
I have a lot of respect for Kubrik, and love the concept of what he tried for in 2001. I still don't like the movie. Liking something, and understanding/respecting something, are not the same thing. On the inverse side, I kinda like Bad Boys, but don't respect it at all from a film-making standpoint, so it does work both ways. |
