Why?

Well, one thing that's always been a bug bear with me is the motion stagger caused by 3:2 pulldown. The problem is of course exacerbated with high definition pictures due to the stronger contrast and tighter object edges.

Now as you’re well aware, the new Panasonic Plasmas have 600hz sub-field drive which to my mind should remove the stagger effect as the display is able to refresh itself at a multiple of, or exactly at 24fps when required.

Am I correct or will the problem still present itself?

By the way, I am in the UK where the mains electricity is 50hz as opposed to the US standard of 60hz.

Thanks for your help chaps.
600hz is the sub-field drive. It's not the refresh rate of the set. There are some Panny's that properly resolve 24p sources, but just because it has a 600hz sub-field drive (all of the Panny's and a lot of other brands advertise this feature) it's not the same thing as properly resolving 3:2 pulldown. The v10 and z1 series both do from this year's lineup, but I'm not sure about comparable models in the UK.
