Good day to sns. My marantz also does that but so did the onkyo and the denon that I auditioned. I have read here somewhere that it is a hardware issue and not really a problem with the unit. I guess that is with the surround mode set to auto I read that louhamilton did not have any problems with his but he has his setup for all his devices I guess and not on auto. Just make sure that when you switch inputs to have your volume jacked up to damage your speakers when it pops.

Are either of you using power conditioners? All I have is some surge protectors with tons of stuff plugged into them. I noticed that if I remove any electrical out that's plugged into the receiver it seems to do it a little less. Other wise it does whenever I change anything on the receiver.
