Yeah.. I can wait for an eventual release that doesn't have the burned in subs. Things like that just bug me...

BTW... does anyone know if the forced German subs are actually a subtitle stream or if it's "burned" into the movie?

Subtitle stream, but I know of no way to disable it when you've selected the English audio track.

I have a BD burner. If I buy this disc, I can strip that sub out and burn it back to a BD-R. How are the menu's? Easy to navigate?

Exceedingly easy, yes. Just four or five options in a column, all in German language--just click on 'em and see where they take you.
