this is a good point. at times there are no deals to be found on certain titles. i actually regret pre-ordering Inglourious Basterds from columbia house because i have to wait a minimum 2-4 weeks for my blu ray (if i'm lucky). I broke down and rented the movie last night, might as well have bought it at a retailer. =/

For me, I'm not really waiting for a price drop because I don't really have the money to burn like I've been on BD!

not sure about outside of canada, but yeah we have columbiahouse.ca

order one BD at regular price, get the next ones half off.
cons: pay $2 shipping per disc, so yes a 3 disc set (no matter how large/small) will cost $6 for shipping.
shipping can take anywhere between 1 week (miracle) to 6 weeks? i've heard other horror stories, but they did just go through a website upgrade this month.

here in the U.S. they have a club as well.

as far as prices, by themselves, no, they are not good.

but if u jump on their buy 1 get 1 or buy 2, get 2 free offers, they work out to about $16-$17 each.

i haven't bought from them in a long time.

their club is for dvd's and blu's.....they don't have an exclusive blu-ray membership/club though.

you can sign up for email notification of deals.

they have the typical join deal.....buy 5 movies for $.49 each and buy 3-4 @ regular price in 2 years or whatever it is now. blu's do count towards your purchase requirements.

just go to their website....columbiahouse.com

Stinkin' Miramax NEVER lowers their prices. I haven't been able to find Adventureland for under $25 or Sling Blade for under $20.

Batman Anthology and the Trek movie sets. I have Netflixed most of them and am patiently awaiting a great price so I can permanently own them. For me that's sub-$40 for Batman and the TNG Trek set, and sub-$50 on the Classic Trek movie set.

Well, it's $47.99 right now on Amazon.com, and the lowest it's been yet. Why take that gamble?
