Looks awesome man! Thats the front stage I want in the future, well actually now lol. Those are 60's right? What did the centre run you if you don't mind me asking, I live in Oshawa and the best price I could find is $1200 for the centre, $2500 for 2 Studio 100's.

Thanks ! It was $1100 for the center taxes in. Actually it was a package of the 690 + the Sub12 for $3500 but it says $1100 on the invoice.

Yes I deal with the manager at Stereo Plus and Design in Orleans, Ont. (Ottawa). Now I'm off to get a sub cable to try and integrate my Def Tech Supercube 1 into my HT as a second sub

glad to see you got your 690 in. It looks fantastic. I have been out of the loop on subs, I need to do some reading on the new ones.

I have been very happy with my Servo 15 v.1. It is about 5 years old but still performs like no other.

I hear you, I have the Servo 15v2 - it's 3 years old tomorrow and I still love it to pieces, it puts a grin on my face everytime it lights up.

Hey dobyblue,

Do you have your sub on the floor? I had mine on hard wood floors. I just purchased a Great Gramma to put my servo 15 on and I couldn't be happier. I have been able to turn the sub up about 20% and it is amazingly tight now.

At the moment, my sub sounds INCREDIBLE!

It's the best thing I ever did for my sub...picked up a GRAMMA almost a year ago now, it just fits - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...76&postcount=3

These were taken a year ago, I just moved into a new place and will be putting up new pics.

Default Overseas Prices

I've been reading everyone's post and enjoying the photos. Of course I'm jealous of some of you - great setups! I am currently stationed in Korea and I'm thinking of upgrading my speakers. I've had Paradigm 11 se MK III's, CC, ADP surrounds and PS1000 for many years now. I've been very happy with these but feel that now is the time to upgrade and get into the next century.

I've upgraded to the DENON AVR5308ci, Panasonic BD-55, Pioneer Kuro Pro151fd and feel the speakers need to follow suit. I'm looking at the Signatures and Studio series, just want to stay with Paradigm.

Here's my question . . . anyone know if there is a price difference for purchasing here in Korea? I've found some authorized dealers, but the prices are CONSIDERABLY more than what I've seen listed for the U.S. and Canada. Of course, the culture here is one that you are EXPECTED to bargain. All listed prices are marked way up because customers are expected to bargain. The process of bargaining is all part of the deal and one that should take a lot of time, even days and weeks if you really want to work it. But I like to know what a "good price" is before I walk in the door. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Quick question for you guys. I currently own Monitor 9s v5 up front and Mini Monitors v5 in the rear. Would I notice a significant and I mean night and day difference if I were to replace them with Studio 40 V2 up front and Studio 20s V2 in the rear? Are the Stdio 40s and 20 worth 1000$ for 4 speakers? (2x40s 2x20s)

When were the V2s produced. It would be a used market purchase but I'd have to sell my gear before thinking about getting the Studios. Is it worth the headaches?

No one can tell you if you will hear a night and day difference in sound...

Also the Studio V2's are several years old now. Current models are on V5.

More in the sense of a real upgrade from Monitor to Studio Line. I'm very pleased with the Monitor Line sound.

again that just depends on the individual. I know some people who think its a very worthwhile upgrade and i know others that think the difference is not so big. If you're happy with your sound quality right now it's even harder to determine if the Studios would be a worthwhile upgrade for you. The monitors tend to be a more forward speaker than the Studios. The Studios are more refined and balanced. Does that mean night and day difference for you?

I suggest you try and give them a listen first instead of making a blind buy.

Question

Hello, my wife and I recently moved into a new home (for us). They guy that lived here before us had a set of Paradigm Atom v2 installed on the back wall and a cc170 center he left as well. The Atoms were installed really nice. I have searched around the forum and instead of buying a HTIB system I am going to keep the Paradigm set up and build from there. I have a Samsung 640 46" and a Sony 360 Blu-Ray. I was hoping someone could give me some ideas on a good receiver to buy with this set up. I plan to add surround/rears and a sub at a later date. All I really need now is a receiver to hook all this up. He left the wires, etc... all here. Should I run my blu-ray to my receiver or directly to my tv once I get a receiver? Thanks in advance.

Check out Receivers and Amplifiers for more info or suggestions on receivers. There are so many to choose from depending on what features you want and what your budget is. Most or all newer receivers will give you what you need for an HD experience. You would have to hook your blu-ray player up to the receiver input and you TV to the receiver output. Any other info you need you can find in these forums and a lot of good people can help you out once you get started. Congrats on the new home and enjoy once you get everything setup!

What if you took it to the next level? How would the Signature speakers compare to the Studio? How would one describe the difference in the listening experience? I wonder if there is a clear incremental increase in quality from Monitors, to Studios to Signatures. I notice that very few people on this thread mention the Sigs. Is that simple because the cost so much more or because they aren't worth the extra cost?

any suggestions for best paradigm speaker system for just blu-ray sound in dedicated home theater(never listen to music or anything else). I've had the NHT VT-1 home theater system since day one of my love of home theater since the early 90's and was thinking about an upgrade. Using an Outlaw 950 processor and acurus amplifiers, 200x3 and 100x2. Willing to spend some bucks but not break the bank since I just added my new display in March(65' panny plasma). Was waiting to check out the new Outlaw 997 but am also interested in the UMC-1 as an upgrade. thanks for any suggestions or info.
