Ahh, gotcha, well you may want to check that clock. Are you an iPhone owner?

Sadly, no. I got a Sammy Blackjack for 240$ the day before the iPhone price was dropped. I was so mad, and AT&T would not let me return it. The 3G on it is pretty sweet though, bad thing is that it runs Windows Mobile.

I thought AT&T has a 10-day return policy?

I did too, but according to the manager- PDA/Smartphones cannot be returned; I don't think she knew what she was talking about.

That's a bad thing? At least it runs a ton of software out there, and you can easily write your own full applications for it if you so wish. Can't say the same for the iphone. If you compare it to the other alternatives (Palm & Symbian), I'd say you actually got the best solution these days. The iPhone is pretty, but gimp. Something like the HTC TyTN II runs circles around it. If you're married to the whole touchscreen thing and don't like keyboards, there's also the Touch DUAL.

I was using the Sprint PDA Utstarcom 6700 and it ran Windows mobile. It was horribly slow and you needed to use the stylus to touch the screen because a person's fingers are too big for it. I will never go back to a Windows mobile or even windows computer for that matter. IMHO the iPhone is the best phone out and like all new products, there are some kinks to work out and some things to be added. All of that should come together in the next months.

How can it come together when Apple won't even let people have more than rudimentary programming access to the phone? The software library is small, and there's programs you'll never see on it simply it's not possible to run them. Never mind things like lack of 3G/3.5G and GPS.

As far as windows mobile goes - get a phone with a faster cpu if speed is the issue. The stylus is there because years of PDA development has actually shown that using your fingers is very inaccurate for things like entering text. Lack of a stylus and/or proper keyboard is actually a big problem for the iphone IMO. It's a phone and an ipod - it's not a PDA, and can't replace or do the same jobs that a proper PDA can.

He's right on the stylus in terms of accuracy. Saves the fingerprints as well
