depends which bundle you're looking at. and no price drop because that'd put them right back into the red

I just remember reading recently that the PS3 has lost more than the PS2 made, and the article gave a definite impression that it was still losing.

yes thats probably true, but max has given us rough estimates and it depends on which sku you're looking at as to whether or not its making or losing money.

It's probably true.

But fortunately Sony makes TV's, Computers, Cameras, and a little thing called Blu-Ray.

It's pretty much break even on hardware at this point. The reason SCE posted a loss last Q was due to a one time inventory write down related to currency fluctuations.

This Q should see a profit unless they bring a price cut forwards.

You know max i was looking trough my sunday paper and i saw an LG flyer for there tv's and blu-ray players. and they had a ad for one there BD players that streams nextflix, real flashy ad with a big blu eye in the background.
something hit me and it got me thinking why in world wouldn't netflix partner with sony? thats a perfect match!
much less a movie studio

I'm thinking the opposite....why would a movie studio want a middle man like netflix, when they have the technology to do it all themselves?

Heh i remember this thread.

Well it seems now that sony has netflix they have started to put movies directly on xboxlive.

MS must be happy.

(I think they shouldn't give them a damn thing but i guess money is money)

Interesting news. Kind of makes me glad I own a PS3, though I probably will never use Netflix on it.

Uhh, yeah, thanks, but im not talking about netflix. they fixed that a long time ago.

If you read my post correctly you can see im talking about sony movies on XBL market place, not netflix.
