I dont watch to many films of this genre but I do have a few under the belt.

An Officer and a Gentleman
Jason's Lyric - (great urban romantic drama)
Not Easily Broken - (just watched lastnight and very powerful)

Hmm..Higgy already has a great list going so I'm not going to repeat off his.

I will say some of my favorites are:

King Kong (1933) a very romantic love story.
The English Patient (1996)
The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) One of D.D Lewis best films.
Roxanne (1987) for the romantic comedy in me.
Beauty and the Beast (1991)

oh and the Lives of Others.

Romantic Comedy:
1. When Harry Met Sally- I agree with you 100% jhiggy about this movie. It's one of my favs of all time.

2. Say Anything- Great Movie. I love Cameron Crowe films. I feel like this movie fits more in this category more than the others.

3. Serendipity- I love John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale.

Epic Romance:
1.Titanic- What is there NOT to say about Titanic. Amazing Film!

Romance:
1. Romeo + Juliet (1996)- One of my favs. I loved the take on it and i feel the casting was perfect.
2. Romeo and Juliet (Franco Zeffirelli)- Again one of my favs. I just love this story.
3. Message In A Bottle- Don't laugh.

Damn dude, you've never seen Titanic??? I'd highly recommend it as it's one of my all-time favorite films.

Romantic Comedy: I'll go contemporary on this one. The Proposal. Great chemestry between the leads.

Epic Romance: Troy. Hey stealing Helen of Troy kinda created an epic sh!t-storm now didnt it?

Romance: When a Man Loves a Woman. Because of personal experiences that mirrored this film, I was slammed by emotion when seeing it.

And, City of Angels because it didnt have the typical BS happy ending...it took chances. I know its a remake.

I must have the same taste as kpkelley, The Apartment, and Casablanca are great. I would have to add Fiddler on the Roof, it's all about love, tradition, and is absolutely hilarious, not your typical 'love story'.

1. The Notebook (yes, I actually enjoy this movie - big fan of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling)

2. A Lot Like Love - don't know why, was alot better than I thought it was going to be.
