i had to wait about 2 1/2 wks for mine back in the spring(ordered 4/28/09 and delivered 5/13/09). that was a long wait w/o a sub. look at it this way, the wait will allow you to appreciate the sub once you finally get it.

i just ordered an a3s-250 on sunday night that i thought i'd have to wait for, but it will be here on thursday. i'm quite looking forward to that...

Glad you went with one of our suggestions.

Great 12 incher not the easiest to setup but like most people say here when you get it dead on it's verry impressive. This thing is a real beast.

A 2-250 is hell of a 10 though.

Default Finally Completed My Setup!

Hi, Callas, Blu-ray, and BigAl87:

I finally got my home theater/basement remodeling project mostly done. I posted some pictrures in my gallery.

Regarding the Energy spearkers, they are just amazing! I pair them with what I think two quality sub's, and they can deliver in both music listening and movie watching.

Many thanks to you guy's help during this process.

WOW, that is an amazing setup. Obviously I gave you a 10, and I am jealous about the RC-70s.... To bad you are not in CA, I would be over for a movie night.

i'm actually going to be placing right next to the couch on the right hand side looking in. there's an end table that the a3s-250 will fit under perfectly. i currently have an AA hd sub-10 right behind the couch. i'll probably try the new eD behind the couch until i buy a longer cord for the eD.

i'm sure the energy sub is great too. i really like 10" subs, they do seem a bit more musical. the eD will be my first experience w/ a sealed sub so hopefully that goes well...

Thanks Arrt Energy sub S10.3 is heck of a sub rated at 21hz +/-3db it'works out very well in home theater and I'm not ashamed of it but unfortunately overprice for you fellow Americans.

The S8.3 is liquidating at 149$ at WWStereo but it's not worth buying an 8 if you're a bass head like you this 10 outperforms a lot of 12 and it's not because I own one but because I've heard others and a lot of subs are not up to the task compare to the S series subs unfortunately discontinued.

I'm thinking Energy should come up with a RCseries soon to replace it.

The C-series subs which replaces the ESW subs are not worth talking about though.

You're truly welcome as many of us so far I had to go for a 10 even though perfection is hard to reach we can all see the time and effort you put in this setup and I think alot of people are impressed with it. Very clean slick everything is it's place. Love it!

Callass, and BigAl, thanks so much for your kind words. There is still some more work to do, mostly some type of acoustical treatment. I am trying to learn as I go, and these forums have been great.

What Energy speakers are there to compliment my C-300's now? I notice there is no entry level speakers anymore.

Im looking for a comparable center and rear channels.

Other than that if you look around for surround the new entry level are the CB/CF and they don't have to be a perfect match they are a bit on the brighter side but will do very good as surrounds.

So CB20, CB10 or even CB5 replacing respectively C-200, C-100 and C-50.

If you want to go the bipole/dipole route you can get the C-R10 replacing the C-R100 a bipole only speaker.

As a huge Rambo fan, growing up watching First Blood over and over since I was like 4 years old, I must say, RAMBO rules! First Blood is still the best Rambo movie ever though. The new RAMBO is better than RAMBO II and III but First Blood is still the shit ..

*Spoiler*

Guy gets out of Nam, goes to small town, minds his own business and just wants something to eat, finds his only friend left is dead, gets picked on by an idiot cop, and then single handedly takes on the entire police force, national guard, and blows up the whole town. Classic, just classic!

Yeah special effects are better now and more gore tends to be packed into action movies.

I went to the theater to see that movie, by myself actually because my wife hates RAMBO, and that first sceen on the boat where RAMBO starts kicking ass, everyone in the theater starting cheering. It was awesome. Devil horns were going up like in a rock or heavy metal concert.

I felt the movie needed more "true Rambo moments" though. There were some really cool classic RAMBO scenes, but not enough of them! The only true Rambo moment was when he pointed his bow and arrow at the cocky guys head. The ripping out of the guy's throat was fantastic too though. And what's with RAMBO hiding behind an ARMOR plated machine gun? That didn't seem RAMBOISH at all! I guess because of Stallone's old age it made sense to make RAMBO less of a one man army. I would like to see a complete remake of FIRST BLOOD with a different actor and in a different "universe", where RAMBO can go back to being the ultimate one man army with the red headband that he is supposed to be, and with modern special effects and gore.

Funny thing is, I am no longer a big fan of action movies, but for some reason I can't get enough of RAMBO taking on entire armies and villages with a bow and arrow. It's like crack. (and the only thing missing from FIRST BLOOD.)

Well guys I ordered the Energy RC-10 from vanns the other day and Denon 590 from amazon, I am going with a 2.0 system right now until I can get center and sub. I am coming from a logitech x-530, so this will be my official first home theater system with a receiver. I feel so excited I been looking at this forum for almost a year and the day has finally come to start my first home theater with real speakers, and I am only in a apt right now , so I am in no rush to get a sub.. One day am probably going to have to pick up those Rc-70 because they look great.

Good Job solid pair of bookshelves, the rc series is slowly liquidating, rc-10 are impossible to find in Canada anymore and rc-30 are quite difficult to find. Y'ou'll be pleased by the soud of those and they do sound much larger than they are.

I saw a review who ranked them as the best soun ding bookshelves under a 1000$ back in 2006 and MSRP was 550$.

Enjoy them
