Yeah, I hear you. I loved Wes Cravens films when I was a teen in the 80's. I saw ANoES recently and a few others and can't stand them, they are so cheesy. So I've kept away from others I keep thinking occasionally "I'd like to see that again, I loved it when I saw it" like Shocker as I'm betting I'll be disappointed.

An American Werewolf in London. Great film but crappy ultra grainy transfer. Very disappointing. It looks like it was shot through a screen door.
Cheers,
Carcuss.

I can't believe that, its one of the best crime thrillers ever made. Each to their own I suppose.

you do realise that was shot 95% on a Canon XL2 camera which at the time was standard definition? just to make you feel bad, sorry

(it was the look the director wanted)

Yeah, I have to agree with Highlander. I saw it many years ago and thought it was great. I bought the UK SteelBook version and when I watched it I couldn't believe how poor it was on Blu-ray. Surely they could have done a better job than this, or maybe the source is just not up to it. Movie sucked too.

Fire the director. For that matter, fire everyone in Hollywood that insists on making off color, tinted or "artistically" grainy movies that look like crap on blu-ray.
