Well it looks very promising. When will the normal orders be filled? Any idea?

I'll have to decide if I want to sell the Yamaha 3900 or stick with it. The 3900 is one nice unit and the SQ is quite nice. Hmmmmm...

honestly the 3900 is a great unit. If you want to upgrade, wait for the XMC-1

Sounds like a plan.

The 1v versus 7v pre-outs: much of a difference? I haven't heard any anomolies or clipping with the 3900.

it can, but depends. If you have had no problems thus far then all is fine.

It may not mean much because of volume discrepancies from situation to situation, but the loudest (maximum is with Iron Man) I ever play the system would be at -6 and nothing on the independent channels (i.e. L C R ...) after YPAO is hotter than +2.5 (out of 10).

still lovin my xpa 5. man i watched star trek last night and my sister and her boyfriend were over to watch it and they were floored. got a 2 sub system hooked up now as well which made the room shake. her boyfriend was ready to upgrade after he saw and heard my setup. that amp makes a hug difference and i mean huge. he was saying WOW your speakers are very clean and clear sounding, they sound precise. and i said EMO baby!!! also the PSB speakers and 2 subs add alot as well.

anyways just thought i would share. those of you waiting for your xpa 5, be patient cause it is certainly worth the wait

Nevermind, I saw it in your gallery pics. CONGRATS!
How'd you rate it compared to your Cambridge Sounds Sub?

From your statement from the Paradigm Sub thread, I guess you like it better than your Cambridge Sub.

ya i am lovin the paradigm sub, massive bass with it. i tweaked it alot today, but still think i need a bit more tweaking. got interupted by my kids, so i had to stop and have some play time with them

you know i watched star trek last night and it rocked with 2 subs, i loved it and i think i will just keep my cambridge. who says i need matching subs?? nay thats just me cause i am anal, i like things to match up. i was thinking i would have to match the paradigm, but i dont.

they are both 10" subs, the cambridge has a 10" powered and 10" passive woofer (one on each side). the paradigm has a 10" powered woofer at the bottom and 2 10" passive woofers on each side. i tell you that paradigm is no slouch, it really cracks out the bass at 1500 wts and the cambridge is 1000 wts wholly bass watts!!!

ya its 13-1/4"H x 12-3/8"W x 12-3/8"D and fits in my spot upfront perfectly. now the cambridge is in the back left corner and the paradigm is in the front right corner. sounds great.

so with the pats choking today big time i am off to watch a movie...
