if anyone owns it can you please tell me how the V/A quality is? is it worth ordering or just wait till it comes to the US?

I have it. I would say the Video is a 7/10 and the Audio is 6/10. Is this coming out in the U.S.?

If your a big fan of the movie like I was than purchase it. I got it for like 22 shipped. which is a decent price for anything imported. I have no clue when its gonna get released in US... probably not till late 2010 or 2011.

I purchased a copy off ebay $35 AUD ($30 US) worth the upgrade... only if you want the movie (directors cut only with this release) and no special features. Like previous poster I would also give the PQ a 7/10... its hit and miss, fingers crossed a newly restored US pressing is on the way.

So if I understand it correctly Penthouse has the Canadian edition which is theatrical cut. Correct? SAGDESIGN has the Australian edition, which is Director's Cut. Correct? It sounds like the two of you have different releases but both rate your separate releases similarly. I guess this becomes an issue of if I want the Director's Cut edition bad enough to import it from Australia and pay 3X what Amazon.ca is charging for the theatrical edition. Anyone know the region coding on the Australian release?

I think the canadian release is in fact the director's cut also, its just mislabeled on the box. according to the thread of candaian exclusives

That's the first I have heard of that. I am apt to believe it but am just slightly wary.

The Canadian disc is 119m37secs, which is the runtime of the Director's Cut.

Looks like. There is also now an Alliance double feature disc, with both the 1st & second films on a single blu-ray disc if interested.

Yeah it released back in August around the time the Kill bill double feature came out, I have the release it looks decent enough.
And with the recent lionsgate release of Butterfly effect 3(another double feature disc) I now have the whole trilogy

i can confirm the UK trilogy has the theatrical cut, with no 'womb self strangulation'.
i love the film, but not the theatrical cut, the ending is nowhere near as powerful.

has it been confirmed that the aus version is also theatrical?
and the canadian release is directors cut?

Yes, both Icon releases (UK/AUS) have the theatrical cut. I own the CA disc and can confirm that it is indeed the directors cut version.
