Default Best Release of 50 First Dates?

I was looking over the Blu-ray review of the US release for the movie, they give the PQ a 3/5. Is there any other release that uses a different source like a BD-50 disc and not a BD-25?

I really doubt the disc size would matter at all in this case. Even with a maxed out bitrate, it's still a short movie (90 minutes) and would easily fit on a BD-25.

Also, I think that score is kind of low. It looks fine on BD, I rented it not that long ago.

I should have clarified, they used MPEG 2 as the source on the US release. A source that uses like MP4?

If they reviewed it today or rereviewed it, it would surely have a higher video score

ok maybe the date isnt the factor, but 3 out of 5 is harsh on this site, thats what Edward Scissorhands got. The video on Men in black isn't that great but got a great score recently

The review for MIB was in June 2008.
That said, whoever reviewed Edward Scissorhands has a terrible format; no wonder he doesn't review anymore.

Do movies on this site get re-reviewed?

Not that i've seen, not without a significant rerelease, but if you're skeptic you can always check the user reviews for differing opinions, some are too broad or whatever but you can do some wading

it happens on occasion. Its hard to track down the different reviews once they switch it out though.

I know Shawshank Redemption got re-reviewed. The original review gave the movie a 3/5 I think and did not really give the disc too much praise (which is crazy).

Oh yea lol- the original reviewer went off on this huge tangent that the movie was anti-religion just because the warden had a religious front to him and acted to the contrary!

LOL That's pretty funny, so what happened to that review? Or is it still there?
After it gets replaced, it's gone isn't it?

Ah, you must be the reviewer.

Considering I've not seen any review like that lately I assume you switched it, so what does that tell you?

I don't mean the writing/style anything, just the layout with the picture miniscule and to the side. Doesn't look very appealing, but that's just me.

That was the old reviewing format. Reviewers have a template on the site, as you can tell it's much improved.

I just read this review and it's funnyt how the reviewer only used darkened screenshots ... hilarious ... why not use better screenshots.
