I would call Newegg and explain your complaint about the sound you are getting from the speakers. Newegg has great customer service and they may not charge you a restocking fee.

I rarely have returned anything to newegg, but at the times I did, I was not charged a restocking fee and they also gave me credit for the delivery charges.

The 6ohm is fine and shouldn't hurt your new receiver.
