Yes.

(2) x $5 = $10

(7) x $2.50 = $17.50

$10 + $17.50 = $27.50

Good job! You get a gold star, Chad!

Do we really need Sleep and Empire on home video? It's not like anyone would ever sit down and watch them.

Just out of curiosity, when did you order yours? I placed my order on Dec. 4th, and nothing so far... I've got my fingers crossed though that they'll be showing up in the next week or so. Thanks

I was hoping over a decade ago that "Chelsea Girls" would be released in the US from criterion or even "Vinyl", "Blue Movie" or "F*ck". But he's one director that deserves an Eclipse release for so many of his other pop art films. As for "Flesh for Frankenstein" or "Blood for Dracula", should of bought them back then.

WTF? So they charge you for them the second you order then they give you no confirmation of any kind for over a month? Sorry but that sounds like a Mickey Mouse operation if ya ask me.

Anyone who got CHE in Best buy, please send some pictures.
Is it regular case holding the 2 disc inside?? Is it a box with 2 cases inside??
Thanks!

There are already pictures in this thread posted by pro-b if you go back a few pages. It's a box with 2 individual cases just like Criterion's "The Complete Monterey Pop."

Yes, that's how it is. Such is life. Getting the cases is an option that people, obviously, don't have to partake in. You pay up-front... and as soon as the cases are in stock, Criterion ships them out. Patience is key, which it seems that many people don't have. Our blu-rays are still safe without the new cases, though, so I don't see the rush.

That's because Criterion has a very secretive selection process for determining who to ship out cases to first. A lot of things have to be taken into consideration, I think, including but not limited to the following...

1) how many Criterion discs a person owns (I hope everyone remembered to list that in your original order)

2) how many OPENED & WATCHED Criterions a person owns

3) how many complaints about not receiving the cases a person has made on message boards across the internet

4) miscellaneous purchases directly from the Criterion store... t-shirts, posters, gift cards, etc.

The list goes on... but, as you can see it's a much more complicated process than any of us could've thought.

I post as Blood Pie on that forum and that is basically my stance. A lot of the people complaining about the high cost of HDTVs and BD players and titles are the same ones who drop a few hundred a month on DVDs and have multi-thousand DVD collections. And some are honest about that aspect. Which I'm fine with.

The ones who annoy me are those who come up with 4 year old garbage arguments (like its still a niche format or HDTV penetration isn't big enough or my fav, that the difference is negligible and doesn't benefit old films...).

That being said its a good source of information for MoC and Criterion releases and there are def people who love BDs on the site.

Also, within that site MoC/Eureka stated the splits are about 50/50 for DVD and BD titles that are day and date and from now on they will likely releases titles that CAN benefit from HD only in Blu...the Criterion splits are also around the same ratio meaning despite that sites off handish take on Blu both companies are experiencing higher than usual splits.

Weird, you just got your cases, which means they got a shipment in, yet I just received this email today.

Please let me know if you have any more questions and thank you for supporting Criterion!

So they were out of cases, got a shipment in, sent you yours, then send me an email saying they are out and expecting some in two MORE weeks?

You'd think after running out so many times, they'd stock up and order a lot of replacement cases...

Makes you wonder exactly how many replacement cases have they sold? It must be an insane amount?

I haven't read of anyone else experiencing this but I received a partial order of 4 cases when I ordered 6 in total one week after my order went in (which was one week before Xmas). I assumed they wanted to get out what they could and that my other 2 cases were on the way but here we are around 3 weeks later and nothing.

I'm not worried because if it was a mistake they will take care of me but I'm getting antsy.

I was just watching "Che" and noticed that the aspect ratios for part 1 and part 2 are different. Does anyone know why they decided to do this???

I think because of the special camera used on Part 2? I think but yeah they are different aspect ratios. I am sure it is discussed in the extras I would think.

I am gonna try to watch CHE this weekend, or at least Part I
