Default Samsung 46" LEDTV

I'm on the fence for the samsung un46b6000 led tv. I've been saving for an LED and right now it's available for $1418 with free shipping. i've only been able to find this at electronics expo with a coupon. And i have to make a decision today, b/c their coupon (EMPLOYEE) is expiring tonight. It's either that, or wait a few more weeks to catch a tv like that at the normal selling price. Has anyone seen this tv?

These Samsung LED TVs are great. I can't vouch for the 6000 line, but I know the 8000 is flawless.

So how much you think that is going to cost? Or is that not an issue for you? The cheapest I have found an 8000 for is about $2200. The 8500 is almost $4000, for not much of a difference. I have a feeling that 9000 is going to hurt wallets something fierce.

You know it... All the more reason to catch a 8500, right before they release them because those price drops will be something fierce!

Default Samsung LED

I have been following the price on this model as well for well over a year now, pinching my pennies to get it just for myself while my family watch our Series 750 52" LCD in the family room. And over that time, I started reading more about TV's and thought more about gaming and how that 120/240 Hz would be so GOOD for my PS3. So I started reading reviews and how they relate to gaming and unfortunately found out how poor the LED's perform in gaming and how the black levels are bad because while they are black where they are supposed to black, the problem becomes where the black should still show some detail. This is were plasmas have significant performance over LCD's AND LED's. Now the things I longed so much in my gaming, I also desire in movies as well. Things like color reproduction and detail, some plasmas are leaps beyond the LED. And now my focus is on getting the best plasma that my money can buy. I think it is good to look for them now because there is a surplus in the plasma market and only a handful of manufacturers still producing them since demand is dropping but so are prices on them. Take a look at the V series from Panasonic. Look at it in Best Buy and compare it to your LED and make the choice for yourself.

What it comes down to is what you think your eyes like... Simply take time out to go to your retailer and study the imagery of the displays, so you learn the differences, and are better able to assess what you like. Everyone doesn't see these displays the same way. Some people like projection, and I feel they lack depth and wash out a great deal of detail...

Study.

I read a lot of people complaining about gaming on LCDs and I just see it. I played quite a few games on the Samsung 8000 and didn't have a single issue. No input lag issues or black issues. Everything looked flawless. Street Fighter 4 never looked better. Burnout Paradise looked great. Katamari. A bunch of others too.

Don't believe everything you read. Check it out for yourself. Beach Camera had a fake sale on the Samsung 8000 this weekend and you wouldn't believe the comments people posted about all their issues why they wouldn't buy that TV. The TV would have been $1800. Now for $1800, that is a steal. But people were still convinced that the 8500 for almost $4000 was still a better deal.

People are just crazy sometimes. It all boils down to what you are comfortable spending your hard earned money on.
