I finished god of war 1 in under 3 hours on my speed run. The game is way too easy. Man i would pay top dollar for more trophies lol.

After reading a lot of forum posts, it seems the best way to guarantee that you get the trophy is to start another run in Bonus Play.

First I'd attack him with a couple 20, 30, and 50 hit combos, then I'd use my magic and hit the boss, then finally use my Rage of the gods meter on him to finally kill him. But even that took me 5 attempts before I finally beat the boss. I mean this seriously so far must have been the hardest boss fight for me in the game.

Wow what a crazy boss fight.

Was up playing until 2am last night and took like 2 hours just to beat this boss. A couple times I came close to throwing down and breaking my dual shock 3 controller after being so close and dying to this boss.

There are parts in this game where I will get stuck for hours because I'm trying to figure out a puzzle in this game.

I seriously don't know how anyone can get the speed trophy for beating God Of War I in 4 hours.

The Collection was my first time playing GOW also. That fight took me like 5 attempts... because I didn't realize I had to run up the steps by the fire. I never had to use a guide before for any next gen game, but this game had me running to IGN's walkthrough also.

Sorry to say, but wait until you fight Ares. That boss battle makes the ones in Ninja Gaiden 2 look like Mario vs. King Koopa. It took me like 3 freakin hours!

The good news is that GOW2 seemed like a cake walk because I had gotten used to the gameplay/puzzles of GOW1.

Heh, the Bull Guy did take me 3 or 4 times to get the hang of it. The key was not to duel him in the lower area but go up on the ledge and use your blocking. He only has two attacks that aren't blockable and one of them (where he grabs and chews you), is neutralized if you stay to the left side of the screen on the ledge. The other unblockable attack (the flames through the floor), is avoidable with double jumping. Alot of the game lets you get away without using blocking, but not this one.

Different strokes, I guess. I never block, but I do parry a lot, so it was easier for me to just get right in his face and stay there.

yup..nada..no trophy..guess I will do a second playthrough..really makes me wonder what causes the glitch for some (like me)

Yeah i've been wondering that as well. Well, my fateful time will come the very next time i go on my PS3. My save is right before the battle to the Loom Chamber, so i still have a chance.

Well, i played again today. I in fact did not have the glitch problem and got the trophy right after killing Cletho. However, during the navigation to get to her and during the fight with her, i experienced some weird sound problems. I could only hear the music, background noise and Kratos' grunts when he jumped and some of Cletho's whining. After i killed her it was all back to normal.

I also beat the game, and boy was i impressed! The Zeus battle was MUCH better than the Ares battle. I can't wait to play GOW3, i'm just glad i don't have to wait as long as others since i'm new to the franchise lol. I'm currently on the 3rd Challenge of the Titans and once i beat all 7 i'll have my platinum.

Challenge of the Titans was much more difficult than Challenge of the Gods in GoW 1

Really? I only played Challenge of the Gods once and didn't make it through the first level hahaha, but i'm happy that Challenge of the Titans has save points. After watching help videos, the Titans seems way easier to me.

As for game difficulty, Id say that God of War has some very frustrating parts in it.
The blades of Hades and the spiked column were just plain annoying and IMO served no purpose other than to annoy the gamer.

The bright side was that you did get a gold trophy if you made it up the spiked column.

Luckily God of War 2 fixed all of these issues and while it still did have some puzzles they did away with many of the frustrating obstacles which was the main difference in making it a better game than the first for me.

Challenge of the Gods, part 10. I can't do it. I've been working on it for over 3 hours, and nothing works. I've gotten close a time or two, other than that, I don't even get half way up. I try everything. Blade of Artemis is useless. I try L1 X to throw em in the air, which works decent, but when I land I get hit by those stupid dogs. I get knocked off, but manage to grab the side of the ledge, hit X to hop back on, and the stupid dogs hit me while I'm on my way up and I fall. SO ****ING STUPID. So then I said **** it, I'll just worry about the dogs. I jump, press L1 and hold O. That works to a degree, but it takes a few second to get to my feet and the other ****ers get to me. I try mixing it up, but it just doesn't work. I started the challenge at 9:30, and it is now 3:10. I can't do it, I just can't do it. I think I'm going to have to shut down my Playstation. I am defeated. *sigh*

I especially loved these parts, and playing through it for the 5th time, i still do. However, i think a lot of people agree with you. After checking a screenshot comparison, i'm picking up the Collection today

By the way, when I beat GOW2 COLLECTION the same glitch happen to me that happen to others. U know, the boss batch glitch. I do have a game saved right before Cletho. Are there any suggestions to try and get that trophy fixed?

You need to see a psychiatrist because it sounds to me like you are a masochist. I have yet to see anyone who found those parts enjoyable. Thankfully The company that made the game got the message. Most of us like challenges, but frustratingly stupid, NO.

Like I said though, at least you got a gold trophy if you made it up the column.
