I'm hoping for a re-release, I want my extras damn it

While you're at it FOX, re-release The Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day, Cast Away, Master and Commander and Man on Fire with some damn features... Please.

I have the predator bd. Scenes are hit and miss PQ wise. I read somewhere that the original print of predator wasnt in the best shape due to improper storing or something. I guess they did the best they could with it.

not every movie was filmed on the same film stock or by the same people so you cant just compare two unrelated movies. apples and oranges.

+100,000! I'd get every one of those (save MAN ON FIRE, which I'd trade for an extras-laden SPEED) if they wen't back and added the missing extras from the DVDs...

exactly, just cause blade runner was kept very safe doesnt mean something couldnt of happened at place where predator was stored.

well i thought the PQ was medicore for a bluray. audio about the same. plus no extras. so im hoping the next one is gonna try to at least be 4.5/5 rating here PQ + and realistically 4/5 audio quality. and all the extras.

the original terminator is already being remastered as we speak, apparently so ive heard it comes out in the fall.

well you should listen to what people are saying. the predator blu-ray does not have mediocre picture quality, THATS WHAT THE MOVIE LOOKS LIKE. the transfer will never look any better, there is nothing to improve. if you dont like how the blu-ray looks you just dont like the look of the movie.

i own blade runner. ive seen blade runner dozens of times in my life. if predator had been filmed with the same equipment/film and by the same crew as blade runner it would look just like blade runner but it wasnt. what about this do you not understand? blade runner and predator are both blu-rays that display the movies as they are.

REMASTERING, i believe predator can be alot better.

mpeg2 and barebones.

A new transfer is inevitable.

and predator can look better... don't be silly.

pretty sure it's a reimagining. no connection to the first one i believe, except for the predator is still going to look similar. also, there will be two predators (hence the title) - like with aliens. i'm actually pretty excited about this given robert rodriguez is behind it.

i guess some people dont understand the crap in crap out concept. If the original is crap for whatever reason whether it was from the film degrading because of storage or the transfer is just bad to begin with even remastering isnt going to save the damn thing. Its not going to get better without using advanced feature like EE or DNR. They help in some areas but ruin the film in others. This is one that probably isnt going to be better like bladerunner or the way the criterions are redone. The source just wont allow it.

going from mpeg2 to avc or vc1 alone would show improvement. quiet you.
