Day After Tomorrow BD takes forever to load on BDP-S1 - Blu-ray Forum

Normal. My Sony BDP-S300 takes 2 to 3 mins, but my PS3 is about 10 sec. I have the latest firmware updates on both.

wow, that's crazy that stand alones take that much time to load. ps3 baby.

So is it the bd+ or is it the java? I thought the java was used only for special features.

Why is this such a big deal? Put in the disk, take a leak, pour a beer, watch the movie.

It is actually a good thing I loaded my disk and still had time to pop popcorn and clean up the kitchen.

As I heard on the other side many HD-DVD titles take nearly as long to load up.

I don't see a reason why this is a big deal.

I'm sorry it takes so long to load. I guess its one of the "older" players, by blu-ray player standards. I guess I was lucky to pick a PS3 as my first BD player, but that's still no excuse. That does suck and I would be pissed off too. :-(
