Don't mash on the button; just press the sequence and hold the third (or even second) press. Sometimes you'll need to bail on the combo to parry, though. If an attack is coming at you, just drop what you're doing, hit L1 for the parry (you'll get bullet time if you're successful), and then counter with to knock some dudes off.

unlocked boos batch 3 second playthrough here is what i did:

started a new game in bonus play
used cod of war suit (unlimited magic n life)
used the 2 urns i had unlocked
Beat the kraken, saved (after riding the phoenix), shut down
Re-boot beat the 3 sisters n the fat loom one
trophy unlocked

I already have the unlimited magic urn, but not the life. That's not a biggie (not having the unlimited health).

I'll start over though and save immediately after the kraken, and then shut it down.

There's no urn for unlimited life, so it must be the costume. I personally used God Armor because I liked doing extra damage.

right the urns i used were unlimited magic and unlimited rage of the gods
the costume i used "cod of war" fish costume gave unlimited life n magic

Oh yeah baby, just beat Challenge of the Gods!!!!

I got through challenge 1-9 in 25 minutes, and took about 45 to do challenge 10. Challenge 10 is 90% luck with 10% skill, which is definitely not a "challenge" in terms of skill. Now for my speedrun, debating if I should use Ares armor or Dairy Bastard.

Update--speedrun complete, time at Olympus was 3:06, I used the dairy bastard suit. GOW1 platinum in the bag, now to start GOW2

What i kind of find funny is how these Gods of Olympus are messed up. In GOW they were all harping about Ares and how he was destroying Athens with his armies and such. Then in GOW2, they wouldn't get off Kratos' back about his own armies gaining reputation for Sparta by slaughtering other armies.

But wait you Gods of Olympus.... they're Gods of WAR! What else do you expect them to do?!?! Wars can and do get out of hand all the time. If you have a problem with it, stop picking on these individual Gods of War and just get rid of the position if you need to! lol

Having trouble maxing out all the weapons and magic I am way short on red orbs. What is the trick?

GOW1 or 2? im assuming 1 because 2 is fairly easy to max everything out

there are several in GOW 1, depending on where in the game you are, one in the temple of athens, one at the challege of atlas in the temple of pandora, and one during the final fight with ares, where are you in the game???

final fight with ares is where i did it in gow 1.... gow 2 i was fully maxed out an hour or 2 before the end

It's GOW 1 and I just got out of Hades. I have my blades, and two of the magic maxed out lighting and hells army the big sword level 2 and Madusa's head also 2. Like I said I am coming up WAY short.

Either you missed a few orb caches (totally possible), or you aren't doing big combos.
