Wow, artisically, that room is beautiful!!! Nice to see you start your own thread too. I love all black and white like that (no kids I bet ) You did a great job with the aesthetics and getting it set up so beautifully. You have nice gear too, as I see you are a "Sony" man. I see you must of had a dilemma of where to locate the TV, as I am sure you knew that was not an optimal place. How is the sound from your mains since they are so tight in the corners? Perhaps you could move them away further from the wall? I think if you somehow could find more "room" for them and your sub, they might improve their sound? But I totally understand not wanting to upset the integrity of the room. Based on the room alone, it gets a 10 from me! Nice job!

Very clean looking.

My only suggestion would be to pull the center to the front of the cabinet as well as the fronts. Additionally, I would try swapping the right speaker and the vase arrangement to close up youe front soundstage some. I think it is too off-balanced.

I'm also going to guess that you're not too big of a Sony fan.

Thanks for sharing with us!

The room is far from small my friend and it is very nice. I am not sure about the placement of the tv in relation to the couch. The speakers as previoiusly posted need a better position for a more quality sound but for the room you had to work with if it is working for you then your set! Very nice!

Looks really good!

Too bad you have a door in the way.... Have you tried having the TV closer to the couch and centered in the room (while clearing the door area). I bet it would improve your viewing and listening experience!

Anyway really nice furniture.

Seen your setup awhile back. Where your tv/tv stand are currently located...could you put the couch in that area a little farther forward? Then have the tv/tv stand where the couch is. Looks like you could swap tv area and couches pretty easy as it seems like a decent sized room. Just have the couch properly spaced in front of the door. The placement of the speakers isn't ideal but your setup/room is excellent nonetheless.

Great looking room electrorob! That room is very clean looking!

I agree with some of the other posters that your soundstage would probably shift way right because of speaker placement. Is it possible to put both speakers on either side of the TV on the white a/v center? I know they would be tall, but it might be better than having such a discrepancy between the left and right distances.

Looks good, but as everyone has said, things need to be moved around for better AQ and I believe you will have a better view of the TV(closer).

It would seem if everything was moved from their current wall to the next wall over it would be really nice.

For example:

If you moved the couch along the wall that has the poster laying on it!

Then move the TV across from the couch and move the wall unit in front of the window or where the TV was located. You will be closer to the TV and have the audio laid out perfectly for a much much better AQ.

Right now you look like you’re much too far away from the front speakers and sitting right under the rear speakers. Your left and right speakers are not spread out evenly.

That looks very sharp mate! Well done. I do agree with the others' comments: things were looking so good until I got to the point where the TV position was revealed - I'm not with you on that one.

Hey I love the change! How do you like the sound now that you have moved the speakers around? I see that you have a closer view of the TV also.

You should have both sets of pics in your gallery, the before and after.

The sound is much better.
But I think I am not far away from the TV.
It's a 52' and I am only 3 meters away from it...

They say the optimal distance should be 1 and 1/2 the distance as what your TV is diagonally wide. So for a 52" TV, that means you should be sitting 78" or about 6 1/2 feet away. I think 3 meters is about 9 feet, so technically you could be even closer to appreciate the full benefits of 1080p.

Here is a convenient chart....

Since you are sitting about 3 meters away from your TV, you should have the left and right speakers 3 meters apart and slightly toed inward.

When you do this, you should have a nice wide sound stage and also hear a little difference in sound.

But other then that, it looks fantastic !!!

I was just going to suggest this. You also want a slight curve of the front sound stage. By being 3m from the center, and 3m from your fronts and placing the front 3m apart from each other, it creates a nice arc.

You may also want to play around with the center placement. Pulling forward to divert some reflection may improve center channel dialog.

Love the change. Looks MUCH better.
