For anyone who cares there's a Swedish movie called Frostbiten with the same vampires & a month of polar night premise. It's a little tongue in cheek about things but it's very amusing.

What's wrong with Josh Hartnett? I don't think he's a bad actor. There could be far far worse choices for male lead in a movie like this.
