Any fans of the BBC show "Hustle"?

I love love LOVE this show. It's like Leverage, but it was out first, and much better.

Stars Jaime Murray (Lila in Season 2 of Dexter), Robert Vaughn and some other characters.

Great show. I especially liked how they address the camera and kinda wink when you see that they're getting over. Especially when they're taking advantage of poor old Eddie. lol

The only thing I don't like about shows like this is that they tend to "cheat".

The Unit used to do that as well, where they'll pull off some con or whatever, and then they flash back and show you how they pulled it off, and often they'll show a scene you saw, only this time they're doing something that you flat out know they didn't do in the scene you saw.

Perfect example is in Season 2 Episode 3 "The Lesson" of Hustle.

[Show spoiler]Danny Blue is crossing the street with this kid, and this car comes by, and in the 1st scene it shows him placing his hand on the kid's chest to stop him from walking into the street as it passes by.

The camera shows his complete hand still against his chest, and then when they flash back they see his fingers dipping into his jacket and taking the envelope with the rare bank note "The Yankee Green".

It's little things like that that sort of cheat, I think. I still love the show though.



PLEASE NO SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3 on. I kinda accidentally found out that a major character is no longer in the season from season 4 on, and I'm pissed I saw that (just from the box art for a Season 4 set).

I have only seen Season One and some episodes of Season 2. It was on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting) some years ago but it got pull after a while So I was never able to see the rest of it.

The shows were always fun to watch

Just started watching Season 3 Episode 2. Such a great show. BTW: that scene last year with Jaime Murray made up like Wonder Woman? Yummy!

Oh man, something about Jamie Murray gets my engine goin. I have never heard of this show before, but I recognized everybody from the photo you posted. I'm a big fan of british crime films so I will check this show out for sure. Thanks OP.

The first 3 seasons were great, the 4th was lacking a bit after Adrian Lester left the show. I still have not seen any episodes from season 5 or 6.

Nah I haven't seen that. I'm currently on the fourth season finale of Hustle, and once I finish Season 5 and then catch up on Season 6, I might start in on Californication. I've heard good things about that show.
