what happens after the 500 hours?

can anyone else confirm if this is a big deal or not?

I'm really satisfied with my Panny 42" V10. I've heard the UK-version is not as interesting as the European version? Yes strange, there's a difference between UK <-> rest of Europe. Check the reviews.

I read a little about it on the avs forum. There's a whole thread dedicated to it i believe.

A few members are noticing elevated black levels at the 1,000 hour mark.
The performance of the set doesn't change outside this and it appears to be a malfunction of some sets which are changing drastically at this point instead of gradually.

Panasonic haven't yet released MLL information, so there's no way of knowing whether these malfunctioning sets are jumping at 1,000 to the MLL that's pre-programmed to be reached by 10,000 hours or 100,000 hours.

The majority of owners are not reporting any problems like this, so one can only assume it's a glitch on those particular units. I've read posts with people that have done the 150+ hour break-in using D-Nice's settings in VIVID mode and have well over 1,000 hours on their set and have no change in black levels.

Count me in this group, I have about 1,500 hours now and haven't noticed any change in the black level.
