I was planning on going with blu-ray a week ago, but then noticed that HD is having some big sales (get a bunch of discs for free when you buy a player) on Amazon.

So, in an effort to compare apples-to-apples, I'm trying to figure out the total cost of getting a blu-ray player and 5 really-good blu-ray discs. So I'm looking for feedback on which blu-rays really showcase the blu-ray technology (and are still re-watchable movies.)

Looking at the list I use, http://www.eproductwars.com/dvd/blu-ray.cfm, I'm thinking at least Pirates, Spireman, and Planet Earth. Any others I should definitely consider when I try to figure out the total cost?

You posted at DVDTALK and had an entire thread closed. Now I see you posted exactly the same "info" here. Are you plugging Eproducts or are you truly interested in having your questions answered?
